TrialConnect provides an online platform that helps patients discover and be matched with clinical trials based on their health profile. The Service provides information only — we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading health information
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform without permission
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and software on the platform are owned by or licensed to TrialConnect. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. Trial data sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov and ISRCTN is used under their respective public licences.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that trial matches will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific medical situation. We do not endorse any specific clinical trial or sponsor.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrialConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or health outcomes.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TrialConnect from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
